About the Commonwealth

The Commonwealth of Appraisers of Kazakhstan was established in 2019 and enrolled in the Register of Self-Regulatory Organizations of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan on January 1, 2020, at the initiative of our Kazakhstani appraisers.

The Commonwealth, as a self-regulatory organization in the field of appraisal activities, began its activities on January 1, 2020.

Our shared goal is to unite and promote the development of our profession and strengthen our position in the consulting services market.

The purpose of the Commonwealth is to implement and protect the civil, economic, social, cultural and constitutional rights and freedoms of its members, to improve the qualifications of appraisers, to satisfy professional interests and to promote the further improvement of appraisal activities based on national and international standards, as well as to exercise control over the quality of appraisal activities of its members, and to protect the rights and legitimate interests of appraisers.

The Commonwealth aims to:

  • assistance in organizing the study, implementation, and dissemination of international standards, reports, and methodological guidelines on evaluation activities;
  • assistance in the development of a set of measures for training and improving the qualifications of appraisers, ensuring the development of a system of training, retraining, and advanced training;
  • study, generalization, and analysis of the activities of appraisers and trends in the development of appraisal activities in Kazakhstan;
  • facilitating compliance by members of the Chamber with the grounds and conditions for carrying out appraisal activities;
  • establishing and maintaining relations with appraisers’ organizations, international appraisers’ organizations, and other professional associations;
  • protection of the rights and legitimate interests of appraisers;
  • independent legal examination of the impact of regulatory legal acts on appraisal activities;
  • providing organizational, methodological, consultative, and informational assistance to members of the Commonwealth in improving their professional activities;
  • consideration of appeals, petitions, and complaints from members of the Commonwealth and service consumers in the field of valuation activities regarding members of the Commonwealth;
  • and other tasks.
